ABOUT BARBARA
I'm Barbara, a South African born and bred natural light photographer based in the Middle East, more specifically, Bahrain.
I am privileged to be able to capture your most important memories and want you to feel assured that your images are in good hands.
I have a Fine Art and Design background with a BTech in Textile Design & Technology (cum laude) from TUT. I've completed a Diploma in Photography (TPI) and also obtained certificates from various courses done at Vega (National College of Photography) in Pretoria.
On a personal level, I'm a mom to Luke, a very busy little five year old explorer, and Isla who is eighteen months old, both who I just love to bits! I've been married since 2009 to a very supportive husband who always puts up with all my craziness.
When I'm not at my desk editing, or out photographing, I like to spend time with family; redecorate my home or work in my garden (although I definitely don't have green thumbs! Between you and me, I've managed to even kill a cactus!).
I am a huge coffee snob; an avid fan of horror movies, and anything based on Marvel Comics.
I started photographing weddings part-time in 2010 and at the end of 2012, I decided to give up my full-time job as a graphic designer to follow my dream and become a full time photographer.
I can't get enough of witnessing and documenting so many special memories
